Q: Were can you find a 67 fastback mustang for sale?
A: Try looking around local newspapers first so you can actually drive out and test drive the car and inspect it. Ebay is good but pictures are not always accurate, be careful for rust buckets. Craigslist is also a good search look around and compare prices because fastbacks are high in price.
Q: 67/68 Mustang FASTBACK for sale near Mississippi?
Anyone know of someone selling a 67/68 fastback that is on OK condition that lives near Ocean Springs, MS? I’m looking for a project.
A: Im from MS as well. If your familar with tradewinds magazine check there. They are also online at Tradewinds.com. It covers over half the state on auto sales, sporting goods, trucks and such. There was 2 in there a couple of weeks ago in the 67 model for restoration purposes. Good luck on the rare ones like that.
Q: does anyone have a beat up old mustang for sale. like a 64 or 67 or anything?

Q: mustang for racing please read details?
hi, i found a 67 mustang for sale, the ad said that the gears of been changed out to a lower ratio for more power. it has been set up for racing. then the part i don’t understand, it said it has a bump shifter installed, i don’t know what this is? what is a bump shifter (the car is an automatic) please help
A: The shifter can be changed, but as the other answer said, it is a shifter which allows you to put the car in first gear (all the way down towards you) and as you accelerate and want to upshift, you just “bump” the shifter handle forward allowing the transmission to shitf into the next higher gear. If it is a 3 speed, then you would “bump” it twice to reach 3rd gear.
Usually these are used for drag racing type setups. You can place it in “drive” (depending on how the tranny was built) and it will shift like a normal automatic.
If you want to show off, then pull the shifter handle all the way down towards you into first gear, mash the gas and bump the shifter foward for the next gear when you reach shifting RPM. Same for the 2nd to 3rd gear shift.
Have fun and don’t wreck your car, those are getting expensive and hard to find!
Q: 67 mustang, no power steering or air conditioning, 6800. what should i do?
ok. i’ve been looking at this 67 mustang thats for sale. its 6800 dollars. the outside of the car is almost imaculate. the inside is i think pretty much ideal. the biggest problem is that the car doesn’t have power steering or air conditioning. even the power steering isnt a huge deal, its mostly the air conditioning part thats buggin me, cause its summer and it can get pretty hot were i live. it also needs a new muffler and new seat belts.
my biggest questions are:
can i do something about not having power steering?
if so what and how much is this gonna cost me?
how much is air conditioning going to cost me?
is this a good buy?
i keep thinking that im just rushing into this and im only 18 and i can work and buy a car later, but at the same time i keep thinkin that i only live once!
any advice?
yea, i get that it would lower the value and i really don’t want to do that, but at the same time im worrie if i’ll be able to handle it without power steering. i think i could manage without a/c.
good point about it might have power steering but just needs replace. thats somethin i’ll have to ask.
A: You will be fine with no power steering as far as the AC you can find after market for the 67 at classicautoair.com the kit is around 1300 bucks and it is not something you could do yourself but a good mechanic could it comes with complete instructions your looking at around 2 grand installed. If it is the car you want and it is in good shape you better get what you want are you will not be happy. They just do not make like that any more. I have a GTO 57 chevy and a 67 camaro would not get rid of them for anything. It will not lower the price of the vehicle you could get the 67 with air back then from the factory.

A: My advice would be to keep looking for what you actually want. Spread your search out to surrounding states to find that one you want.
To put in power steering you’re talking about $500 – $1000 in parts depending on their condition or if new. Then you have to cap labor on top of that. That could tack another grand or more on top of that.
http://www.laurelmountainmustang.com/index-1024.htm
As for the air conditioning, the price will be closer to $2,000 for all the correct parts for the in dash system. You can buy an under the dash system for $1,000.

Then you have to cap labor on top of that. That could tack another grand on top of that.
In summary, look at spending $3,000 – $6,000 to add the PS and Air after you buy that car if you hire out all the labor.
Are you ready to spend the extra money when, with a little patience, you could get it already installed.

A: It all depends on your priorities.
The 67 mustang is a classic and will hold it’s value if not go up.
If the car is original and you put in aftermarket air, the value goes down.
This is an older car and there will always be something going wrong with it and unless you can tinker (or have a dad, bf or brother who can tinker and fix the little things for you), it will two bit you to death.
I suggest you find something else in good condition that already has air, like a honda civic . . .something good on gas. Once you’re older and have more money, buy that classic car.
Q: 1967 mustang please read detalis?
hi, i found a 67 mustang for sale, the ad said that the gears of been changed out to a lower ratio for more power. it has been set up for racing. then the part i don’t understand, it said it has a bump shifter installed, i don’t know what this is? what is a bump shifter (the car is an automatic) please help
A: It means that the car is an automatic, but has a manual valve body installed in it. The valve body is a set of passages in the transmission that change the gears by releasing the clutch pack when hydraulic pressure passes through them. A “manual” valve body is just that- you have to engage a mechanical switch to change gears. Thats where the bump shifter fits in. The shifter should have a spring loaded, ratcheting type of action that will pull on a cable connected to the transmission. Push the shifter forward you upshift, backwards you downshift. A properly built automatic transmission with a manual valve body will shift faster than having a standard manual and thats why they’re popular in drag racing. If the car’s got lower gears and a bump shifter, it’s been raced and probably gotten the crap beaten out of it. You might wanna look for something else, something close to stock or all stock. A used car is already someone else’s problem.
Q: Does anyone know a website that sales classic muscle cars like 67 mustang?
Also for under $20,000 and for a 16 years old.
A: Best site for finding antique and specialty cars at a fair price is amazingly enough Ebay .. some are no reserve auction and others are simply purchase .. check it out. Go to www.autotrader.com also and search .. they have quite a few dealers.
Q: 1967 Mustang, should I buy?
I found a ‘67 V6 Mustang for sale for $4,500. Interior fully restored, all original, 107,000 miles, automatic, runs, and needs new paint, should I buy? Could it be a primary car for me to use and be reliable?
A: i would tell you no.
because of this:
the car will get bad gas mileage since its an older car, and gas prices will be getting more expensive.
i suggest getting a small compact car, you will be better off financially… but if you got free gas for the rest of your life, go for it!
Q: What does the 2+2 of the 67 mustang fastback mean?
I keep seeing 67′ Mustang Fastback 2+2 For Sale in my search for a project car. But what does the 2+2 mean?
Thanks Bobby C. Yeah I figured it was a simple answer but it just wasn’t clicking. Thanks again.
Well after having conflicting answers given I decided I’d do some more research when I wasn’t sure if Bobby C or Paul M was correct. But in the end Bobby C. you are correct. And Paul M. I don’t know how you managed to pull that out of your ass. The Mustang GT Models recieved dual exhaust and a limited slip rear differential. (Positraction?) I take it your a chevy man
A: Simple it means a four seater 2front2rear.
Q: Trying to find a Mustang ‘67, ‘68 Fastback!!?
I’m in Australia trying to track down one of these babies in a rolling shell condition to restore. I have been on the hunt for about 2 months and haven’t found anything in that condition. Does anyone know the whereabouts of one for sale????? I have $12,000 to spend on one.
A: I tend to stay away from Unique Cars magazine, because pretty much everything is way overpriced. They will have what you’re after, but at inflated prices. You’re better off (to find a bargain) in the Tradingpost or The Quokka.
If you do intend to stick with UniqueCars, have a look at the website that goes with it. Uniquecarsales.com.au, they’ve got everything in the magazine listed, as well as more stuff not in the mag.
Also, talk to a car importer that specialises in importing US steel. You don’t even have to go through them (if you do, they’ll give you an agent stateside which is handy to check titles and inspect the car). I know a guy who privately located a ‘66 in California and had an associate over there check it out for him, then arranged for an importer to bring it into the country. He got it shipped really cheap too, because they had extra room in one of their containers to fill anyway (very rare opportunity for whole cars, but this type of arrangement can be commonly made with spare parts to fill up extra space in a container). Lucky guy. Cobra imports I think they were called, it’s been a few years.
A bare rolling shell should only cost you several grand. Well short of $12,000, by any means. Just be wary when looking at US cars (already in the country or not) – Americans tend to half arse even their ‘good quality’ restorations..
..they usually slap some paint on, re trim the interior, and throw on some period alloys. Lift the hood and it’ll be 40 years of spiderwebs, lift the heads and it’ll be 40 years of wear.
Q: Older Mustang identification?
Saw a Mustang for sale recently. Seems to have the body of a 70 era Mach 1 but has a grille badge similar to a ‘67. I know that the badges on the Mach 1 were the smaller 3 stripe/pony offset. Anyone have any ideas about this?
A: use google images to see what it looks like…
http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&source=hp&q=68+Mustang&btnG=Search+Images&gbv=2&aq=f&aqi=g10&aql=&oq=&gs_rfai=
http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&gbv=2&tbs=isch%3A1&sa=1&q=70+mustang+mach+1&aq=2&aqi=g5&aql=&oq=70+Mustang&gs_rfai=&start=0
different models had different grill treatments and aux lights.. but the body’s run 2 years, until 71-73, 65-66, 67-68, 69-70
Sometimes the owners modifiy them to look more like the Shelby’s..which have their own styling cue’s..
Q: What are my chances for being approved for auto financing?
I have been wanting to purchase a vehicle for sometime now. I paid all cash for my first car but for the car of my dreams, i’m going to need to finance. Now i’m not trying to buy an 07 Vette or something, were talking a ‘67 Mustang Coupe ($7000). If I tried saving up for it, it’d take me all year (don’t plan on leaving my current job for awhile) and by then the car *might* be gone. This is not at a dealership. It’s a used car lot where the owners sell the cars to prospective buyers through car sales people. So the owners sit back and relax at home till someones interested. I started my first credit card back in August of ‘05. Since then i’ve mostly paid my card on time (had two hiccups last year) and I usually pay more than the minimum. My only collatteral is my ‘86 Chevy Celebrity if that matters. I have a bank account and can easily save $1000 by the end of the next month (taxes). So what do you think my chances are of being approved? Should I pay off my credit card first?
A: If you are financing your next automobile, getting a good deal is probably a top priority. Each year, millions of car buyers obtain bad auto loans. These include upside down loans, loans with extremely high rates, and so forth. Before getting an auto loan, make sure you understand the terms of the loan. Here are a few techniques to help you get the best loan.
Boost Your Credit Rating before Applying for New Auto Loan
Your credit rating will determine the type of auto loan you are offered. If you have bad credit, lenders generally offer a loan package with an interest rate a few points higher than the current average. Dealership financing is the worse in regards to interest rate hikes.
To qualify for a low rate auto loan, improve your personal credit score. Before applying for an auto loan, check your credit. Inaccuracies and negative remarks greatly affect your rate. If errors are present, work to have them corrected. Moreover, do not skip payments to creditors and pay creditors on time.
